Requirements
You’ll need a custom recovery installed on your Xiaomi POCO F2 Pro to flash a custom ROM.
- POCO F2 Pro Development Portal (Twrp / Root / Custom Rom / Stock Firmware)

- It’s wise to backup your Current ROM, no matter how confident or experienced you are. So anything happens unpleasantly you can retrieve back your old ROM. You may check this article if you need any guidance How to Back Up and Restore Stock Rom Using Custom Recovery
Pre-requisite Firmware
- Stock firmware version V12.0.4.0.QJKMIXM or higher
- If you are on v12.0.3.0 vendor, you can just update the vendor | SKIP If you are already in the latest version.
ROM Download
Download all the necessary file given bellow for installing the Paranoid Android ROM on you Xiaomi POCO F2 Pro.
How to Install Paranoid Android ROM on POCO F2 Pro
Step I – Installing Mauronofrio TWRP on your POCO F2 Pro
- First, download all the necessary files that are given. [Copy the Recovery and ADB in PC and ROM, and Magisk on your POCO F2 Pro]
- Extract the ADB-tools for Windows. I’ve extracted the file in C:\platform-tools, So that it can be easily accessible.
- Copy the recovery by mauronofrio.img file on to ADB Binary folder. (e.g. C:\platform-tools).
- Now Press and hold the SHIFT key and right-click on an empty space inside of C:\platform-tools folder
- .Select ‘Open command window here’ or ‘Open PowerShell window here. ‘
- Turn off your device. Press the Power button and Volume down ( – ) button at the same time for few seconds to enter ‘Fastboot Mode‘ and connect the phone with your PC with a working USB cable
- Enter the below command on the ADB CMD window:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.4.0-14-lmi-mauronofrio.img
- Wait for the TWRP to be flashed on your POCO F2 Pro. After that execute the following command
fastboot boot twrp-3.4.0-14-lmi-mauronofrio.img
- The device will automatically reboot into TWRP. And this will fix the recovery bug. [REMEMBER: is important that from fastboot you directly go in TWRP mode or the TWRP will be overwritten.]
Step II – Installing the Paranoid Android ROM on your POCO F2 Pro
- After following ‘Step I‘, Now from TWRP on your POCO F2 Pro, Install > Select pa-quartz-5-lmi-20201016-dev.zip. Wait for the ROM to be flashed.
- Now factory reset your device from TWRP. And reboot to AOSPA / SYSTEM.
Step III – Rooting/Installing Magisk on Paranoid Android ROM
- Follow the ‘Step I‘ to boot into recovery mode.
- Now from TWRP on your POCO F2 Pro Install > Select magsik-v22.0.zip.
- Wait for the magisk-su to be flashed.
- Now Reboot to system
