How to Install OrangeFox on POCO M3 using ADB Command
- First, download all the necessary files that are given. Copy and extract the ADB-tools for Windows. I’ve extracted the file in C:\platform-tools, So that it can be easily accessible.
- Extract the orangefox-r11.0_3-unofficial-citrus.zip, where you can find recovery.img, copy this file on to ADB Binary folder. (e.g. C:\platform-tools).
- Go to C:\platform-tools folder and Press and hold the SHIFT key and right-click on an empty space inside this folder. Select ‘Open command window here’ or ‘Open PowerShell window here. ‘
- Turn off your device. Press the Power button and Volume down ( – ) button at the same time for few seconds to enter ‘Fastboot Mode‘ and connect the phone with your PC with a working USB cable. You can also enter the Fastboot/Bootloader mode using the following command in CMD/Powershell with USB Debugging enabled on your phone connected with the PC —
adb reboot bootloader.
- Enter the following command to make sure that your device is being recognized by Fastboot by typing —
fastboot devices
- The command should return a device ID. If not, make sure that you have proper drivers installed.
- Finally, enter the command below to flash and install TWRP recovery on your POCO M3:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
- Wait for the TWRP to be flashed on your POCO F2.
- You can enter the twrp mode by using the following command —
fastboot reboot recovery.img
- The device will automatically reboot into TWRP.
- You will reboot into TWRP mode. after that you can take complete current stock ROM backup, flash/install custom ROM, or custom tweaks.
