How to Install ADB Driver on Windows (Download and Complete Setup Guide)

ADB means Android Debug Bridge. A small tool which allows you to send terminal commands to your Android phone from your Windows computer via USB. In simple words we can say that you can use ADB commands to roots your phone, unlock, flashing new ROMs, install the latest update and more. Download ADB Setup file for your pc from link bellow.


Installation Process

  • First of all download and extract the ADB File Setup [].zip file and double click adb-setup-1.4.3.exe in order to install/execute. The software shout pop up with a blue command window “Do you want to Install ADB and Fastboot? (Y/N) Press y and hit enter.

  • It wil again ask you”Install ADB Systemwide? (Y/N)“. Again press y and hit enter.

  • Now Device Driver Installation Wizard will pop up, and press next to proceed.

  • Windows Security dialogue box should pop up by now asking Would you like to install this device software? Hit on Install and proceed.
  • The driver installation process should end in no time. and show you result. Press in Finish to exist .

  • The driver will be install at Windows C Drive (C:/adb). directory.

How to Use ADB Fastboot

To check that ADB and Fastboot drivers are working fine on your Windows PC/ Open the ADB folder on C drive and hold the shift key and press right click and launched the command prompt windows on your desktop. Connect your Phone to the PC with USB cable and type the following command in the command window. It will show you the list of devices connected.

Fastboot commands

Here are some important adb commands which is periodically use —

  • To Unlock Bootloader –
fastboot oem unlock
  • To Flash Recovery –
fastboot flash recovery filename
  • To Boot in Recovery –
fastboot boot filename
  • To Reboot Phone –
fastboot reboot
