Rooting is something which break the regular android using experience, That’s why most of us seeking for rooting our device. because there are lots of benefits in rooting a android smartphone. Many of you asking for a post about Rooting Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F). Sorry for Late posting. Here we are with the method of rooting of your Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F).

Pre – Rooting Process

 

Think before you do

If You are newbie or new to this word so called “ROOT”, then do not proceed just yet. Because if you do something unexpected you may ruin your whole android beloved smartphone. Because Rooting means Playing with Android OS.

So First and foremost take a full back up of your personal data like Contact,text messages, Then Copy all kind of personal data stored in phone memory card such as musics, photos, videos. For safer side, you may copy them on your PC or laptop.

Then Go to Settings > About Phone > click on BUILD NUUMBER 5/6time, By that time Developer mode should be unlocked.

Then Download bellow File

 

  1. Odin3_v3.10.7

Installing Custom Recovery (TWRP) On Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-GJ700F)

After Downloading Odin.exe, Turn off your Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F),  Then Go to Download Mode.  To enter Download Mode Press Home Button + Volume Down (-) Button + Power Button all together.

After entering “Download Mode”, press volume Up (+), Then You will see something like above

Then Open The Odin.exe. Make sure You Run ODIN as “Run as Administrator”. It is Highly recommended.

Then Connect Your Samsung Galaxy J7 With Your Laptop/Desktop Computer through USB cable. When ODIN detects your phone, It will show added in the Log. Just like bellow Screen.

In ODIN click on AP and then select the Recovery – TWRP-2.8.7.0-j7elte.img.tar file you downloaded. And Click on start. The flashing process will start.

If everything you done till now was perfect, then you shall be seeing aa PASS Or REST Screen by now

Odin Flash Succeed

 

How to Root Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F) with Custom Recovery (TWRP)

If the flashing succeeds, ODIN will show ‘PASS‘. That means the recovery flashed successfully. It will boot into recovery. Swipe to Allow Modifications. Click on Reboot then System. Copy and place downloaded SuperSU.ZIP file to your external SD card. Turn off your phone. Reboot to Recovery Mode.to Enter Recovery mode, Press Home Button + Volume Up (+) Button + Power Button all together. (Which was almost similar of Downloading mode). The recovery will start. Select ‘install zip‘. Click on Storage to change from Internal Storage to Micro SDcard. Select SuperSU which you downloaded. Swipe to Confirm Flash. Flashing process will start. Once Completed. Wipe Cache/dalvik. After that. go back and Reboot your Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F). Voila, You have now A rooted Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F) and Which have Custom recovery TWRP Installed.
